Description
This anthology combines many of the poems in my three collections – Dentro noi, oltre le stelle [Within ourselves, beyond the stars], Ricordi [Memories] and Occhi Cuore Anima [Eyes Heart Soul] – now translated into English.
It came about because of my wish to share things that seem beautiful, in the opinion of those who looked them over (especially, for example, the poem A Olga [To Olga]).
This also contains moments of sensuality and eroticism, in an attempt to reawaken this indispensable peculiarity of ours and bring it back to spirituality, which scientific experiments seems to want to move us away from, as I explore and describe in more detail, futuristically, in Ricordi.
I also have the pleasure of quoting the prefaces Dr Angela Giassi wrote for Ricordi and Occhi Cuore Anima, introducing these two collections quite elegantly.
I hope my new readers will experience very pleasant feelings and thoughts as well as intense reflection, will be able to experience moments of light – images, that is, because ‘...everything is an image, even a person is an image. All images are created with two facets: the human, or the natural principle, and the divine, or the spiritual principle. Then I taught her that the two principles are inseparably united and the spirit penetrates the natural body, like a lover intent on making love. This erotic and creative act produces images.’ (Excerpt from Discorso alla Luna [Conversation with the Moon] by Selene Calloni Williams, Contemporary Library – Edizioni Studio Tesi, 2016, p. 55.)
