Godly Leadership's Seven Pillars

Description
Make no doubt about that.... Leadership isn't reserved for a chosen few. All of God's children were created to be leaders. After accepting Jesus Christ as our Savior, we are called to lead others in our sphere of influence in some capacity. "For we are God's masterpiece," Ephesians 2:10 says. He has resurrected us in Christ Jesus to enable us to accomplish the beautiful things he had planned for us long ago." We are called to govern by godly principles as representatives of the Kingdom of God. Personal achievement, a desire for financial prosperity, or a desire for power are not the foundations of godly leadership. As stated in God's Word, godly leadership is about influencing people we lead for good. "Do not be mistaken, you are called to be a leader," I always remind my grandchildren. You will either have a positive or negative impact on others. Make the decision to be a leader for the greater good!" Serving others in a way that glorifies Jesus Christ is what godly leadership is all about. "A good leader motivates, doesn't mislead, and doesn't exploit," reads Proverbs 16:10 in the Message version. Leadership is frequently mentioned in the Bible. "Love and truth make a good leader," Proverbs 20:28 says, "and sound leadership is built on loving integrity." To put it another way, love runs through all of the leadership characteristics. Why? Because God is love, and God said that the greatest commandment is to love one another. As a result, love must be an integral element of our character as God's children and the way we lead. "If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging," says Romans 12:8. If it's about giving, go all out. Take the duty seriously if God has given you the power to lead. And if you have a gift for showing others kindness, use it." As a result, we must take our leadership job seriously, be encouraging and generous, and do everything with joy. God has established a standard for leadership and equips us to meet it. So, please allow me to share with you seven biblical cornerstones of good leadership.
