The Rise of the Greater Past

I am the first wendigo to publish. Normally we stay hidden, out of sight given our underserved reputation that scares the innocent, inciting attacks on us and our loved ones. We have suffered as much as our Indian friends deep in the northern woods, where we were forced to hide, continually harassed by the new Europeans. We don’t understand how there have been those among you that have fomented such scurrilous stories.Therefore, I have taken it upon myself to step forth, the first of our kind, to explain not only who we wendigos truly are, but what we wendigos have discovered in our long journeys over the campfires in the deep woods, huddled in caves to survive the endless, howling winters, always studying, sharing information, desperate to make sense of it all. We have indeed much to share, that you might find useful. We wendigos have a knack for discerning the Big Picture.Wendigos are anxious to contribute, and to share with you what we have discovered in those long, winter nights. Maybe this way our two races can learn to coexist in peace, once we overcome our aversion to each other’s appearance. Yours, especially.This is our first conciliatory gift to you. We hope you enjoy the reading, and hopefully learn from it. Perhaps this step will begin an understanding and mutual respect to arise among our two races, so that we can live together in perpetual harmony. We and our children would like to enter, without fear, your amazing though often contentious cultures.I have put my people in the novels, all eight of them, so you can begin to understand not only who we are, but our rich history, and where we have come from so very long ago.The wendigos have a history much more extensive than humans. Our origins began deep in the earliest mists of time, far, far away from realms that no longer exist.. We therefore have much to offer, as I hope you will discover as you continue to read on.
