The Bojabi Tree
With Author Biography
Edith Rickert
Description
The animals in the African forest were experiencing hunger. The Bojabi tree smelled of many aromas: fresh apple, orange, plum, peach, and banana. They wanted to eat the fruit of the tree, but they could not because they did not know what it was.
The animals went in turns to depart and cross the forest and a river to ask King Leo the Lion for the answer. Despite having been taught everything by the king, they cannot remember anything when they return. Only the sluggish turtle remains. Will he be able to successfully travel and recall the information they all need?
