RAWA

'Rawa in Madhesh' is a play written in Nepali language originally and translated into English. The story takes place in a village called 'Haram'. The village is near to the border of India.
The village is going under different problems and insurgencies. The underground organization is creating havoc while some people are trying to play between the emotions of Madheshi and Pahadi.
Malini and Salahesh are the names taken from the ancient king and his lover. It is an ancient story. It is believed that the king was powerful at that time. Haram is the name taken from a garden which exists in reality. It is believed that a kind of flower, white in color blossoms on the first day of Nepali New Year, in the morning and dies at the evening.
Rawa is the name of river, symbolically the flow of river down to the Plains from the high hills and mountains is the relationship
between these two lands and people these different places.
Moreover, the story spotlights the different events like gender violence, terrorist activities, and people’s movement and so on. It a true story of people of Nepal which reflects the hues of hope.
