Peter Vincent - Kingdom Philanthropy
Kingdom Philanthropy
Peter Vincent
Description
The concept of charity has been a distant and perhaps abstract thought for those of us who have worked in church leadership roles in recent years. We are aware that philanthropists exist, but we do not normally associate with them. Many of us would have no personal experience with one. Yes, we occasionally request funds from philanthropic foundations, but that is usually as near as we go. Is It Possible for Us to Become Philanthropists? What would it be like if those of us who head Christian ministries become philanthropists ourselves? At first look, that may appear to be a stretch. However, I wouldn't be shocked if this aligns with the direction in which God's stream appears to be flowing this season. We live in unusual times. Around the world, the twenty-first century is already shaping up to be a quantum jump from the twentieth. We are currently living in the Second Apostolic Age, in which the biblical church government has resurfaced. The Holy Spirit has began to speak to churches about assuming dominion over God's creation, as God intended. Our mission of saving souls and multiplying churches in the twentieth century has been enlarged to include nothing less than societal transformation.
