Gioachino Rossini From Pesaro Around Europe, is an idea of a book taken from a previous work by H. SUTHERLAND EDWARDS published for the first time in 1869 and deals with the life of Rossini from birth and creative periods and abandoned career for depression only after 19 years. The book traces a history of traveling artistic life by Rossini (born in the city of Pesaro) where his creativity develops, as well as in Italy, throughout Europe.
Rossini, the Swan of Pesaro, as it was defined, impressed on the melodrama a style destined to become epoch and of which anyone, after him, should have taken into account; he set dozens of operas without genre limitations, from farces to comedies, from tragedies to serious and semi-serious operas.
In this edition the book is also accompanied by photographic evidence that still today bears witness to how strong is the relationship between Rossini and the city of Pesaro.
